The Italian Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macao is coordinating a yearly festival called “Bellissima Italia” dedicated to the promotion of Italian culture, lifestyle, and iconic Made in Italy products.
The festival is held from the end of September to the beginning of December of each year.
Under “Bellissima Italia”, a registered trademark in accordance with the Hong Kong law, the Consulate is gathering different events organized by public entities and private companies, in order to increase the awareness of Italy in Hong Kong and Macao.
Italians enjoy a unique lifestyles and quality of life that celebrates a simple and relaxed way of living combined with warmness, good manners and spontaneity.
The Italian lifestyle is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity where simplicity, quality, ability to perceive the beauty in small things, the role that art and music have in enhancing the quality of life, the pleasure of tasting a good wine are all important values.
These features are reflected also in the products of the Made in Italy, which are seen worldwide as synonymous of quality and glamour.
The aim of the festival is to raise awareness about the Italian culture and lifestyle unique features, by promoting them through the organization of cultural events such as concerts, theater and opera nights, temporary exhibitions of Italian artists or local artists that have been working on Italian subjects, round–tables and seminars about the special characteristic of our economy and society, food and wine tasting, dissertations about Italian traditions and many more.
We would like to underline the relevance of each event also from a social and educational point of view and our intention to reach out to the local community and to the young generations.
We hope that by promoting all the events in a single container (Bellissima Italia), each event will get a higher exposure in the Hong Kong printed and digital media.
Working under the new Bellissima Italia logo will allow us to prepare specific reports about our activities to be submitted to potential donors for additional funding for the future editions.
