Study in Italian Universities – Marco Polo Programme 2012/2013 – including Italian language courses in Italy specifically targeted for Chinese students

To enhance the possibilities for Hong Kong and Macao students to study in Italy, the Italian government has decided to extend to the S.A.R.s the Marco Polo programme already in force in mainland China. The programme allows students without a previous knowledge of Italian language to follow a language course in Italy and to pre-enroll at the same time to an Italian university.

How to take part into the programme:
Students should first of all contact the Italian University in which they want to enroll (or the Consulate General) in order to receive the necessary information regarding the organization of Italian language courses to be attended.
- From December 2011
Students must submit the complete documentation for the pre-enrollment to the Italian Consulate General in Hong Kong, including :
- Form A (click here) or Form F (click here) for enrolment to the University
- Photo and signature authentication form (click here)
- 2 passport size pictures;
- Passport and a photocopy of the first page of the document;
- certificate of studies, which has to be submitted to the Italian Consular Office in order to obtain a declaration of equipollence.
Once the documents have been submitted and validated, the Consulate General will forward the application for pre-enrolment directly to the University in Italy.
- From January 2012
The admitted students can submit the application for study visa to the Consulate General of Italy.
